SCRIPTURES IN YOUR OWN BIBLE - GENESIS TO REVELATION

Isaiah 58:12-14 BUILDING THE OLD WASTE PLACES
For many centuries God called prophets to remind Israel of the Covenant and also that they had to share it with other nations. History shows that there have been many times when people and nations have forgotten God and His Word. Even holy days (holidays) have become opportunities for commercial greed and hectic consumerism. We are living in the last days, but God still has a prophetic people that have dedicated themselves to the rebuilding of Bible truths. Even though Protestantism has lost much of its protest, God's truth is still being revealed and proclaimed by His remnant church. Revelation 14:12 clearly gives the identifying marks of these end-time covenant people: "Here is a call for the endurance of the saints, those who keep the commandments of God and have faith in Jesus."
Isaiah 66:23 THE SABBATH A SIGN OF THE ETERNAL COVENANT
This is one of the most beautiful promises in the Word of God. The Gospel message tells us that Jesus always has a Covenant people and invites more to follow in His footsteps. Jesus created the Sabbath, He kept it both at the end of the first week of this Earth's history and also on the seventh-day Sabbath (resting in the tomb) after Crucifixion Friday, the day before Resurrection Sunday. This is the day that the Lord has made and it is the day that will be celebrated in the New Jerusalem and the Earth made new. In Exodus 31:12-17 the Lord proclaims the Sabbath an eternal sign of His Covenant with His people. Read John 14:15; Hebrews 4:9-12; 8:6-10; 10:16 and 1 John 5:1-5.
"Therefore, as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord,
SO WALK IN HIM, ROOTED AND BUILT IN HIM
and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving. See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ.
For in Him thewhole fullness of deity dwells bodily."
Genesis 2:1-3 A FREE GIFT TO HUMANKIND
In the beginning our Creator, God, the Lord of Lords and King of Kings, made the Earth and everything in it. God created energy, matter, time and space, and as the finale to this incredible creation week of seven days God gave us two gifts, marriage between male and female, and the Sabbath of worship and rest. Marriage and family form the basic building blocks of society, but Satan is working harder than ever before to destroy the beauty, happiness, security, love and harmony of our families. The Sabbath on the seventh day (on our calendar it is called Saturday) was also made by God and given to all as a sanctified holy day of rest, freedom, grace, worship, remembering the Creator and all that He made.
Exodus 20:8-11 THE SEVENTH DAY - FREEDOM IN JESUS
Some of the most occuring and anxious worries we have is that we want to get out of the rut, out of the mess we got ourselves into, away from the busyness and business of the world around us. Our Creator knew that His 'crown of creation,' humanity, needs to stop, remember, celebrate, rest, worship, and enjoy spiritual renewal - and this is why He gave us His free gift of the Lord's Day, the seventh day, the Sabbath. He set this day apart and made it Holy and special. After God set His people free from slavery, He reaffirmed His covenant with them, written with His own finger in the form of the Ten Commandments. Only the Sabbath commandment begins with the words 'remember.' This tells us that being faithful to the Word of God really is not our own works, but enjoying God's grace and love.
ROOTED IN JESUS' SABBATH - THE SEVENTH DAY - THE LORD'S DAY
   # How can we stay sane and faithful in this hectic, confusing, technologically mind-boggling world?
The seventh day Sabbath is rooted deep in God's grace and His way for our faith journey.
   # How can we share with those around us who are overwhelmed by the problems of modern life?
One of God's greatest gifts to us is the Sabbath Day, a day of worship, rest and celebration.
The one commandment that begins with "Remember" has been forgotten!
Ezekiel 20:12 SIGN OF ALLEGIANCE TO GOD
In John 14:15 Jesus says, "If you love me, keep my commandments." Both the Old and New Testaments affirm the Christian's covenant
relationship made possible by the grace of God. The Sabbath is a sacred day given to us as a gift of God's love - it should not be a human
construction open to change, abuse and human tradition. It has taken legalistic Sunday keepers a lot of juggling, spin, misinformation, taking
the Word of God out of context and ripping it apart to give it a form of validity, but in spite of this the Lord has always had a Covenant people
who stayed true to His Word. Many died for this precious truth they had in their hearts and minds. If it was worth dying for, is it not worth
living for?
Matthew 5:17, 18 WHAT WOULD JESUS DO? JESUS CAME TO
SHOW US HIS TRUE LOVE, GOSPEL, GRACE, FREEDOM AND FAITH
To answer the question we need to ask WHAT DID JESUS DO? The four Gospels as well as
the book of Acts tell us that the Lord Jesus Christ, the Apostles and the early Christian church
honored God's special day of grace, the seventh day Sabbath, Saturday. The Scriptures
clearly state that "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever" Hebrews 13:8.
In the Bible Sunday is never mentioned as a day of worship for the New estament Church.
Mark 2:27, 28 JESUS CHRIST IS LORD OF THE SABBATH
The words 'LORD'S DAY' are used to describe the Sabbath in the Bible. Using Bibical Theology, the only day indicated as the Lord's Day in the Bible is Saturday, the seventh day, God's day of rest and freedom. Sunday keeping is really just a human tradition, a day of manmade works, a day of legalism. The Bible nowhere says that Sunday is a day of worship. See Exodus 20:10, 11; Mattew 12:8; Revelation 1:10. Jesus is Lord of the Sabbath because He created it, rested on it, made it holy, blessed it, kept it, gave it a name and He made it a part of the Ten Commandments. Sunday is not the Lord's day! Read 2 Timothy 4:1-7 - We are now living in an age when people reject truth and have itching ears, following manmade myths and fables! Much of our media has socialized us to accept lies as truth and truth as irrelevant.

THE GOSPELS - SEVEN MIRACLES OF LOVE AND GRACE
Jesus did not come to Earth to argue about great theological questions. His goal was to save mankind. He came as a little baby, grew up and became a man. A real man. A man among men. He came to show us how to live and how to die. He shared His teachings, miracles, parables and also His whole life that was a living parable. Many times His teaching and healing cured bodies, saved souls, touched hearts and gave emotional healing. He does not only forgive sins and guilt, but takes away guilt feelings. The New Testament Gospels tell us about the SEVEN SABBATH MIRACLES. A perfect number of miracles by a perfect Savior! By these seven Sabbath miracles Jesus did not only show the Jewish leaders their pride, lovelessness and the fallacy of their traditions, but teaches all that we can be gracious, merciful, loving and do healing acts on the Sabbath day. Read Mark 1:21-28; 1:29-31; 3:1-6; Luke 13:10-17; 14:1-6; John 5: 1-18; 9:1-16. Decide to live this kind of Sabbath day! The Sabbath is a day of rest, a commemoration of freedom, a sign of hope and a day of healing.
Luke 4:16-19 THE SEVENTH DAY (Saturday), JESUS' CUSTOM
God dedicated and set aside the Seventh day Sabbath as a rest day 2,000 years before the first Jew. Abraham is considered by all to have been the first 'Jew.' Bible records indicate that the Creation of this world took place at least 4,000 BC, and as Adam and Eve were not Jewish when God sanctified the Sabbath, the Sabbath is not Jewish. Mark 2:27 says plainly "The Sabbath was made for man(kind)." God made it and gave it to us as the special day to worship and remember His greatness, glory and grace. Jesus followed this custom from the time He was a young boy, living in this fallen world of sin and giving us a worthy example in His teachings and behavior. Luke says that the Sabbath was Jesus' custom.
John1:1-3; 19:42; 20:1 EVEN IN SALVATION,
AFTER THE CROSS, JESUS RESTED ON THE SABBATH
The Sabbath is more than just a day of physical and mental relaxation. It is even more than the day on which we worship. The Sabbath has a definite redemptive significance and is an integral part of the everlasting gospel. The New Testament uses the word 'rest' to describe the good news of salvation as shown in the life and teachings of Jesus Christ (see Matthew 11:28; Hebrews 4:2, 3). Ever since the fall into sin, this promised saving rest in Christ has been linked with the Sabbath. The Word of God, in both the Old and New Testaments, is consistent, constant and congruent in its historical content and spiritual teachings. Jesus rested on the seventh day of the creation week, and also on the Sabbath day of re-creation.
Acts 13:44; 16:13; 17:2 THE SEVENTH DAY - PAUL'S CUSTOM
People begged Paul and Barnabas that more truth might be told them the next Sabbath. Almost the whole city gathered to hear the Word of the Lord on the Lord's day, the seventh day Sabbath. Many of them were Gentiles keeping the Sabbath for the first time. The Apostles assured them that the whole Gospel was for Gentiles also, and this included reverance of the Scriptural Sabbath. He told the Jews "I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the Earth." The Papacy claims that it transferred Christian worship from the Bible Sabbath (Saturday) to Sunday. For Protestants to argue that the Scriptures teach this change is both dishonest and a denial of Papal tradition, self-proclaimed authority and their catechism. If Protestants want to base their beliefs and teachings on the Bible only, they should be following the Bible Sabbath and not the Papal Sunday. Revelation 22:18 & 19 gives the warning not to add or subtract from God's Word.

 Acts 20:7 "ON SATURDAY NIGHT"
In the Greek and at least three scholarly translations, the TEV, NEB and REB - this verse reads "on the Saturday night." Bible translations that say first day or Sunday are not completely honest. In Bible times the new day started at sunset. Acts 20:7 gives an historical account of Paul's farewell at the beginning of the new day after Sabbath, therefore in our time this would be Saturday evening. Paul shared a farewell discourse (Greek says 'dialogue') until after midnight (and the boy who fell asleep, falling to his death was then miraculously raised). Then on Sunday morning Paul walked 20 miles from Troas to Assos to join their ship. In the 5th century Socrates Scolasticus in ECCLESIASTICAL HISTORY book 5(9) states "Although almost all churches throughout the world celebrate the sacred mysteries on the Sabbath of every week, yet the Christians of Alexandria and Rome on some account of ancient tradition have ceased to do this."
Hebrews 4:9 SATURDAY SABBATH - ETERNAL DAY OF WORSHIP
"I honestly believe that this commandment is just as binding today as it ever was. I have talked with men who have said that it has been abrogated, but they have never been able to point to any place in the Bible where God repealed it. When Christ was on earth, He did nothing to set it aside; He freed it from the traces under which the scribes and Pharisees had put it, and gave it its true place. 'The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath.' It is just as practicable and as necessary for men today as it ever was-in fact, more than ever, because we live in such an intense age." D.L. Moody

Revelation 1:10 THE SEVENTH DAY IS THE LORD'S DAY - SATURDAY
The reason for Sunday eucharist and worship is because some early Christians started keeping the first day as they wanted to make it easier for more pagans to embrace Christianity. But if you truly love God and accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, you should reject the assimilation of heathen traditions in order to follow the heavenly Father's will in all things. The Old and New Testaments clearly reveal that God's will for all His children includes the liberty and spiritual renewal of the seventh-day Sabbath. Any other day is human philosophy, legalism, works, tradition, desecration, deceit, and not sanctified by Jesus our Creator, Lord and Savior - read Hebrews 1:1, 2, 10; John 14:15

'WALKING THROUGH THE BIBLE WITH JESUS'

A BEAUTIFUL SABBATH PSALM: Psalm 91:16 & 92:12-15

"With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation. The righteous shall flourish like

the palm tree and grow like a cedar in Lebanon. They are planted in the house of the Lord; they

flourish in the courts of our God. They still bear fruit in old age; they are ever full of sap and green;

to declare that the Lord is upright; he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him."

Isaiah 55:1-3 "Come, everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and he who has no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread, and your labor for that which does not satisfy? Listen diligently to me, and eat what is good, and delight yourselves in rich food. Incline your ear, and come to me; hear, that your soul may live; and I will make with you an everlasting covenant, my steadfast, sure love for David."
